Our Christmas Update

Here's the email we sent out this year...just in case we missed someone!

Hello Friends and Family,

We missed sending our Christmas update in 2008 and are barely squeaking one in this year—a sign that we have been busy! Here’s a quick rundown of what’s been going on in our lives.

Brian made us all proud by passing all of the CPA exams this year. He is currently finishing up his final independent study class and will be a full-fledged CPA soon. He had a job change this year that requires him to be gone the first three days of the week. It’s not as bad as it sounds, though, because we have a 4 day weekend every week! We love his new schedule and are grateful that he works so hard for his family.

Janette has been busy tending to our newest addition—although we can’t really call him new anymore. McRae was born in October 2008 and has been the highlight of our lives ever since. She’s grateful to be able to stay home with him and only has to work one shift a month to keep up with her nursing job. Not too shabby! She also stayed busy this year learning the ropes in her new calling (YW President—yikes), all while training for and completing the St. George Marathon. It’s been a busy but very fulfilling year.

McRae is a full-fledged toddler. He loves soccer balls, his dad, horses, being outside, and people. (We’re convinced he gets his love of all things social from his dad. HA!) That boy has stolen our hearts and we’re pretty convinced that he revolutionized the way the world feels about babies—okay, maybe just our world, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
