The Lone Ranger Pays a Visit

During the holiday break, we spent some time with family at Mima and Papa's.  We were fortunate enough to be paid a visit by the one and only Lone Ranger--he is their neighbor, after all.  The kids--mainly David and McRae--were in heaven!  David was willing to hop right on up on that horse with the Lone Ranger.  McRae wasn't so sure.  But, as it turned out, he just wanted to ride his own horse and be the Lone Ranger's side kick as they combed the hillside looking for "bad guys."  Papa didn't pull the wool over McRae's eyes and when McRae suggested that the Lone Ranger's name was "Papa", David had a moment of reflection.  Later that day, David asked, "Papa, are you the Lone Ranger or not?"  Too cute!

While we were out riding, it started to snow.  This lil' cowboy didn't have sense enough to come in from the cold.  Luckily his dad was willing to forfeit his own jacket for that cute cowboy.

Notice how he's the only one left out there with his over-sized jacket--and his gun, of course!
